BEND was founded by Maarten van der Burg and Rom Dekker from a shared love for making things with their hands. What started with building and designing their own campervan slowly grew into a furniture and design practice rooted in craftsmanship, curiosity and a practical way of working.
Based in Ibiza, they have worked on a wide range of projects for private homes and hospitality spaces. From custom built-in cabinets and furniture to bar tops, tables, doors, frames and outdoor structures, each project is approached with care and attention to detail.
Their work is centred around simple but well-made design. They enjoy working with natural materials, especially high-quality wood, creating pieces that feel honest, functional and built to last. For them, the process of making is just as important as the final result.
While continuing their work in Ibiza, BEND is now focusing more on projects in the Netherlands, bringing their hands-on approach and personal way of working to new places and collaborations.
